In the summer when the blackberries are ripe, the birds know where to find them. One day when reaching in to pick a ripe one, I scared up a spotted towhee - so of course, I had to paint the scene.

Painted on raised birch panel 3/4”deep. Edges left natural wood. Unframed. Ready to hang.
