8” x 10” vertical oil painting on raised panel

Created plein air and alla prima in a friend’s garden in October. A gloriously red leafed Japanese maple was glowing in the last rays of sun of the day. I had just a few minutes to catch the light after setting up the rest of the scene.

Painted on raised birch panel 3/4”deep. Edges left natural wood ready to hang.
